Back in the 60’s, I worked at Ancona Bakery in Chicago on North Ave. near Laramie. Ancona had the best Italian cream puffs! I remember filling up the cannolis at Christmas time. The original owners John and Hank had a son, John. Hank’s sister Lois ran the North Ave. bakery, she and her husband Vito had three children, Linda, Tony and Vito. I wonder if any of them are running the Northlake Ancona. Sure would like to know. It’s been almost 60 years since I started working there. So glad to see it’s still doing well. Happy Holidays!
